Job Overview

As an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer, your role revolves around maintaining and expanding the organization’s IT infrastructure, particularly focusing on Office 365 and associated technologies. You will handle system engineering support, project management, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing
standards, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate objectives, as well as coordinating infrastructure changes and improvement initiatives. Your role also involves capacity planning, licensing management, and adherence to ISO 27001 processes to maintain security standards.

Responsibilities

• Engineering support and expansion of Office 365 and associated technologies, including Exchange Online, Exchange Server, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) alongside Dir-sync.
• Manage infrastructure projects, ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders for change management purposes.
• Handle troubleshooting, management, and maintenance of system performance, continuously monitoring capacity versus utilization across hardware, system throughput, and licensing. Provide timely recommendations to mitigate performance degradation or oversubscription.
• Administer standards, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate and business objectives to enhance system availability, reliability, recoverability, and manageability.
• Develop start-up and shutdown procedures, apply corrective patches to operating systems and application software, and establish operationalprocesses/configurations.
• Lead planning, organization, and execution of infrastructure changes and improvement initiatives.
• Review and support all requests for services/solutions, assisting users in identifying and designing business solutions leveraging data center infrastructure services.
• Perform capacity planning for AWS/Azure servers and Storage Area Networks, offering recommendations for expansion and growth.
• Plan and control the licenses required for Office 365, Microsoft Partnerships etc.
• Adhere to ISO 27001 Processes.

Ideal Candidate

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field such as Engineering, Computer
Science or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of working with Linux
• Basic SQL and RDBMS knowledge
• Shell Scripting
• Knowledge of Configuration and Release Management tools and processes

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of working with Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of working with any cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Proficient in Python or any other scripting language
