Duties & Responsibilities:

Planning:

Assume a leadership role in analyzing and exploring means of managing the business and taking it to the next level;

  • View the company’s strategic aspirations through a financial lens, identify and address growth constraints;
  • Provide leadership and development of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management;
  • Develop a strategic direction for the business along with supporting tactics;
  • Design Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) strategies for the company and lead deal making for the company; and
  • Develop a system of performance metrics that support the company’s strategic direction.


Operations:

  • Identifying and reporting trends and potential business opportunities and making recommendations for action;
  • Monitoring financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that may impact business operations, planning, investments;
  • Assess organic and inorganic growth initiatives;
  • Oversee the accounting, treasury, tax, human resources and investor relation functions and oversee the activities of vendors to which functions have been outsourced;
  • Engage in acquisition selections, purchase negotiations and acquire integration into the business
  • Develop and oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); and
  • Drive operational effectiveness within all departments.


Financing:

  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs;
  • Support and execute corporate financing strategy;
  • Inculcate, manage and further develop investor relationships and board of directors;
  • Maintain relationships with banks lenders, investment bankers and outside analysts; and
  • Prepare the company for Initial Public Offering in the U.S.


Financial information and reporting

  • Provide ongoing financial oversight of the business, managing planning, budgeting, and reporting processes;
  • Oversee the compilation of financial information into financial statements, with accompanying disclosures;
  • Report financial results to management, the board of directors and the investment community;
  • Oversee the accounting and reporting function being led SVP of Finance and Chief Accounting officer.


Risk management:

  • Understand the current and potential risks to which the business is subjected;
  • Take steps to mitigate risks, including the use of control systems, shifting risk to other parties and insurance coverage etc.;
  • Report on risk issues to board of directors;
  • Monitor known legal risks involving the company, as well as the legal issues impacting the industry; and
  • Review and act upon the findings and recommendations of the internal and external auditors.


Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Over 10 years of experience in finance, mergers & acquisition, or investment banking required
  • Experience working with technology-focused companies;
  • Experience advising or assisting with companies' U.S. initial public offerings;
  • Experience advising or assisting with companies' mergers and acquisitions;
  • Leadership skills and experience;
  • Remote or teleworking available

Travel: 30% of time dedicated to domestic travel required
